Sensei Craig has been training with Samurai Karate International since 1984, when he joined as a shy 8-year-old. In 1995 he joined the prestigious ‘Uchi Deschi’ (international instructor training) program under Shihan Paul Mitchell and in 1998 was the youngest ever to graduate.
He opened his first dojo with 20 members in Box Hill in 1999 and continued to run that club until taking over the National Headquarters of Samurai Karate (Australia) in 2003.
In 2009 Sensei Craig achieved accredited training qualifications and since then has worked as a professional teacher and trainer.
In late 2014, Sensei Craig and Jessica re-launched the Croydon dojo and in 2015 opened in their new home at 1 Maroondah Highway, Croydon where they have continued to grow and now offer two separate training areas, fully climate controlled, traditional karate programs for younger children, juniors, cadets and adults as well as programs to develop strength, fitness and flexibility.
Sensei Craig’s passion is enhancing student lives through the practice of holistic martial arts training.
